Summa’s past experience in construction and implementation of Wastewater Treatment Plant SCADA Systems, and development of the New Tecumseth SCADA System architecture and standards, in addition to our expertise in programming, instrumentation, documentation, and commissioning allowed for the successful completion of this project.

Background

The project consists of replacing the existing plant. The new plant included headworks, aeration, digestion, clarifiers, UV, filters, screens, alum, polymer, odour control, and related instrumentation.

SCADA requirements include SCADA hardware, software, PLC panels, PLC and SCADA programming, package systems integration into the plant SCADA, integrating complete system into the New Tecumseth SCADA system.

Scope of Work

The goal was to deliver the project on schedule and on budget to meet and exceed the expectations of the project.

Summa was responsible for supplying SCADA hardware and software, supplying and commissioning instrumentation, PLC panels, PLC and SCADA. PLC and SCADA programming for the plant was provided including integration of the package systems and the New Tecumseth SCADA system. New Tecumseth programming standards were maintained throughout the project.
